Top 10: New Mom Must Haves
Before my daughter was born, I felt like I was completely prepared and her nursery was ready to go! Our sweet friends and family cleared out our registry and I just couldn’t wait to take our baby girl home. Within with first week of bringing her home, I realized there were a handful of items we were missing and immediately proceeded to order them on prime. If you are currently pregnant, or a new mama, here’s my list of favorites I couldn’t live without!
Our daughter HATED getting her diaper changed! We found ourselves trying to warm the wipes up in our hands in hopes that she wouldn’t cry. Once we ordered a wipe warmer, our diaper changing experience completely changed!
Similar to our baby wipe situation, our daughter didn’t like anything cool touching her, including her towel after bath time. After adding a warmed up towel to our bath time routine, the post bath tears turned to smiles.
If you are scared to death (like I was) to cut your baby’s nails, this electric file is a God send!
4. Baby Wrap
A baby wrap was something I used DAILY in the first 3 months of my daughters life. She got to be held all day, and I got to be hands free. It was a win - win for us! It looks intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s actually very easy! I shared a tutorial on how to use it here!
5. Lounger
In the first few months, I wanted to keep eyes on my daughter at all times and this portable, foldable lounger was a game changer! It is also incredible for travel!
You might have already heard of this, but you haven’t… buy it. Trust me.
We didn’t add a swing to our registry at first in an attempt to try and keep our house “clutter free”. We realized we definitely needed one and are big fans of this model! It vibrates, swings, and plays music/white noise. It is also able to be cordless for easy maneuvering throughout the house!
8. Car Seat Toy
We added this to our collection later on, but this has made a big difference in our traveling experience!
Although this is rated for 4+ months, we have used this a ton! It is a great way for Dad to keep baby satisfied while Mom gets away for a few minutes. It also works wonders for smiles in pictures and soothing teething gums.
10. Table Chair
Last but not least, this is our latest addition we are absolutely obsessed with! If your baby isn’t old enough for a high chair, this is a great addition to the kitchen table to hang out with your baby while eating hands free!
